Testimonials from fly fishermen, hikers, and photographers.

I cast my line in ten times and caught eight fish! Wow what a river!

“We had the most wonderful, relaxing time – true wilderness and great wild company. Not for wimps, but a real soak up experience for anyone normal! My advice to anyone – do it”

Richard & Sue Mcdonald – Oxon, England

“It was a very special unique experience with you. We are still very touched in our hearts. The kids also talk a lot about the days we were at your cabin and with you.”

We've made the river our family vacation for the past six years and don't plan to stop!

I send you some pictures to share with Trapper Rick when he will return in town. We have had a very good time with very nice people. Thank you all and kind regards,

Marie-Laure

A huge thank you to all of you for giving the Nash family a trip of a life time. How lovely that it was just another day at the office for you guys but for us the experience was unforgettable.  It was really after seeing your mugs shots on the net and then after chatting to Heidi who was so friendly, down to earth and answered all our queries that we knew we had to come.  There was something for each of us..  The flight over the mountians and inlets, sitting on the deck over looking the river/mountains just loosing myself for a moment and seeing those bears did it for me.

Tony, well the prospect of catching an even bigger fish had his head spinning: those poor fish they didn't stand a chance, I mean 8 before breakfast, what stories he'll have to tell.  And the boys, they did so much, riding the quads, catching their first fish (Fred likes to tell everyone that he caught the first of the trip!) swimming in the creek, playing in 'the leaky boat'  and the wildlife were definitely highlights for them.

So basically we had the most incredible time and you guys were just the very very best.  THANK YOU........

From Vicky, Tony, James and the Fredmister

We expected a lot from that trip and we had… much more!

This was exactly what I was looking for to bring safely my family into real beautiful wilderness. For sure, our kids will not forget bears, salmons, eagles, river and people they met here. When it comes to fishing, I have seen a lot of salmon rivers in the world from Alaska to Chile, from Quebec to Norway, but the beauty of that one really has something special.

Beautiful! Serene! Picturesque!

The fish may not have been in but we had so much fun we're definitely coming back next year!

Greetings, Trapper Rick.

We spent two day's fishing the Kak Wei Ken river this September with our Canadian friends. As an avid fisherman, I found this river to be perfect for fly fishing. We had a good time in this untouched wilderness, catching and releasing some nice coho and cutthroat trout. Playing these fish on a fly rod was really great fun. Also great was the hospitality from Trapper Rick and his son Travis.

Rick guided us to the best pools on the river and his knowledge of the water and fish was very helpful to us. In the evening, sitting around the campfire and watching the river flow was like another world, so peaceful and in harmony with nature. I think we should make this trip every year and stay a little longer. Thanks to Rick for this great experience.
